Meghan Betz is an Associate Attorney with Chesser & Barr, P.A. Her primary areas of practice are general civil litigation, commercial litigation, real estate, and family law.
Prior to attending law school Ms. Betz worked for 12 years as a paralegal in Denver, CO. She earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State College, graduating in the top 5% of her class. She received her master’s degree from Regis University graduating with Honors, and her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law graduating in the top 10% of her class. While in law school Ms. Betz was a visiting law student at Nova Law in Ft. Lauderdale.
Since admission to the Florida Bar, Ms. Betz has practiced in the areas of family law, commercial litigation, contracts, general civil litigation in both state and federal courts and insurance defense. Ms. Betz is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and all Florida State Courts.
